* Is it possible to apply for a visa through your school? What should I do and what can VLS do to help me?Our school can arrange the obtaining visa for students coming to Vietnam with the purpose of learning Vietnamese in a certain period of time. * How do I register for courses?You can download the Application form from our website to fill it out then send it to this address:

* What is the length of one course?The average length of each course is 40 hours and it would take 2 weeks to 3 months to finish.
* How do you hire your language instructors?After posting an recruitment in newspapers, the VLS received more than 250 application files. The management board selected 90 applicants among these to invite for interviews, and then will to choose 40 to 45 candidates for an intensive training course on Vietnamese Linguistics. After the training course, we will invite the 15 best and most well-rounded candidates for teaching full-time or part-time.
Before the official teaching activity, these 15 prospective teachers will be given insight into language methodology, teaching techniques for each subject, the material preparations, the steps of effective class performances, and the creation of interesting games in class, etc. The school will sponsor the fees of this second phase. Once a teacher has become part of the VLS community, they will undergo continuous professional training and development.
* How do I make payment?Payment can be made in cash or by bank transfer or credit card.
* What will I have learned after the first course?This beginning-level course helps you achieve a solid foundation not only in conversational Vietnamese but also in basic Vietnamese in terms of phonetics, grammar and structures for your further Vietnamese language studies. After this first course you will be capable in dealing some diverse content areas:

- Personal information
- Profession
- Residence
- Family life
- Time
- Daily activities
- Describing things
- Ordering in a restaurant
- Shopping and bargaining
- Asking for directions
- Talking about health
* What should I do if, during the course, I have to be away for some time?Regular attendance is highly appreciated, however, if you have to be away for some time, our teachers should be well informed in advanced. Some make - up classes will be arranged free of charge up to the availability of your teacher.
If you more on and off classes, you are required to give us an estimated schedule for each month in order to make sure of average hours that you could keep.
It is likely that you will have a different teacher if you have to be away for so long.
* For the first course, which kind of class is best for me - individual, couples, or a group class?Up to your demand that we will arrange a suitable for you. However, from our experience, a group class of 2 - 3 students is the best for those are having the first course as it will help to interact between classmates in pronunciation practice.
* Due to my limited budget, is it possible to divide the course fee into two, one half to be paid at the beginning of the course and the other half midway through?One - time payment is highly appreciated, however, half - and - half payment is acceptable with certain conditions. The first half is to be paid right at the beginning of the course and the other half midway through.
* What is a red invoice? Can I receive a red invoice? (for companies)Red invoice is an official invoice issued by our school under the management of Tax Bureau. A red invoice is issued to you only when your study is on your company expense.
