Tet Activities for VLS Students 2012

Tết of Dragon is approaching! Join us the Vietnamese language immersion activities to understand more about Vietnamese Tết’s customs

You will get Tết Lucky money “Lì xì” from VLS after completing each activity and submitting you papers.


Activity 1: Exchange wishes

Each student writes Tết wishes in a New Year card provided by VLS to another unknown student, then (s)he picks one greeting card from another unknown person on the board at the hall to receive a Tết wish for your own.

 

Activity 2: The meanining of Tết wishes /The meaning of Tết fruit tray/ Crosswords

You will be given a question/ wish (hand-out) to go out and talk with local people, to find out about the meaning of the wish or some Vietnamese Tết’s customs and the crosswords.

 

Activities 3: Tết Customs and Traditions

You will receive a “Tết Quiz” about Vietnamese Tết Traditions & Customs to answer. By interacting with Vietnamese people on these questions, you can get the answers from their help. (s)he brings it back and receives “lucky money” from VLS.

Notice:

  1. VLS highly recommend these activities to all of the students.
  2. Students join these language activities with little help from teachers. Teachers should assist students during the activities but should not provide the answers.
  3. Answers can be sent directly to VLS office (Ms. Vân) or via email: vls@vlstudies.com.
